We were in the Phoenix artists bar last night before The Tears gig, precisely because it's the kind of place where you might spot somebody... And LO! There was Saint Bernard Butler, dressed like a student in a big coat and hat. I nearly snapped him on my camera phone, but that would have been more than a bit tacky. A few more pints and I might have done.

I think I've said before, I've had a real drought of celeb spotting since we moved offices... I spend my days in Farringdon now instead of leafy Primrose Hill, I rarely go out in the evenings, and weekends I usually head out of town. So, this is a very weak, he's not even a real celebrity, but it's the best I can manage. Mark Frith (the editor of Heat magazine, and occasional TV pundit) was in the Phoenix Theatre bar last night. And so was I! And I saw him.

I was expecting to see a big bundle of celebs at the last ever Suede gig at the Astoria on Saturday night, but as we stood downstairs I missed all the usual melee in the Keith Moon Bar... I DID however see Mike Leigh in the Phoenix Theatre bar before the gig. He has a big old beard.

I saw Bobby G and The Libertines in the Barfly too, but they've already been NABBED by other punters who were present...

Ricky Gervais' partner in crime is a regular feature at the Phoenix theatre bar (aka Shuttleworths) I think, have seen him there before, and saw him there again yesterday before The Darkness gig at the Astoria.

Not only was Mr White waching the Mudhoney gig, as Pauly so rightly mentioned, but he brushed past me. There was some breast/arm interface, and now he must make an honest woman of me.

Went on a rare night out pubbing, and saw Abi Titmus in The Charles Dickens in Southwark.

She wasn't doing anything even vaguely pornographic.

I think his name's Tony Kanna anyway, he is in the adverts for Johnny Vegas' new DVD, he is a comedian and plays his flatmate. He was in The Angelic, a smart pub near Angel tube station, tonight.

Darius was loitering outside Lounge-Jing on Chalk Farm Road, Camden.

I was tempted to hit him (baby one more time) but he's bigger than he looks on TV.

Went to Canterbury on Saturday to try and get a PSP for Mrs Pauly, and we saw Brian May in Dixons. I think he was buying a printer. He's very tall and was a bit scruffy. Don't know if he thought he was being a bit incognito in his long studenty coat and scruffy jeans, but if he really wanted not to be recognised he just wants to brush his hair.

He wasn't with Angie (I don't think, why did I not pay attention to who he was with?), and I did not see his Red Special.

Got harrassed by games show winner Rodney Hylton-Potts, in Nicola's Portofino on Saturday night. He's standing against Michael Howard.

He was at the hospital on Friday night as well as Dennis Hopper, but not together. He was in the restaurant. I've never seen him out and about before so i was rather excited. He just walked past us though so nothing interesting to support. He was wearing a suit.

This was in August so a long time ago, I've got about 30/40 celebs that i haven't posted and now i can't be bothered, having seen Dennis / Richard on Friday hopefully i'll start up again now, i'm in a bit of a backlog. Anyway, out of all of those the christian slater one is probably best. Was in Edinburgh for the month of August, and saw christian out and about a few times. the best time was when we managed to get an invite to his birthday party, there were only like 20 people there and it was karaoke, it was very entertaining, all of his Cuckoos nest cast were there including Mackenzie Crook who was very scared of getting up and singing but did a fine job. Christian was lovely, really nice and friendly and not at all celeb like.

Didn't see him myself, but cow-orkers say they saw Jimmy Page in the Borderline last night at the Action Plan gig.

im walking down jackson street in detroit, makin my way to maggies thrifts, and i catch the adam slippin out of an ally with some girl. they had their arms linked and he kept poking her in the side to make her jump and giggle. i freaked out, because come on, its adam, and i ran over across the street to them. i was out of breath and im like i love your music!!!! he smiled, seeming to be almost freaked out by me ( i prolly looked nuts)said "thanks, girl" gave me a peace sign and skipped off with the curly headed blonde. i died right after lol

I met her at top of the pops. I called out her name as she came off stage. she ran to me an hugged me an signed my ticket. i was so excited as she is my fave artist an im her no.1 fan!

It all started when my friend went to the bar for her birthday, they were there. They asked her who she was, they said they were in a band. She didn't believe them. They bought her some drinks. The next day Laura and I went to go see them where they were recording their latest album, and we discovered that they were really in a band, the discovery of my new favorite band. They came out for my birthday on may 19th, Jay bought me a drink. Over the next 2 weeks we hung out at their place, playing frisbee golf, mostly partying. They made this video that Jay filmed. It has them eating pizza, making hot potatoes, Jay jumping into a bin, their day trip out on the ocean where they all jumped in. Moose was pushed in the water and the look on his face was priceless. They were drfinatly a lot of fun to hang out with. My fav is Padge, and I think their accents are sexy as hell.
